Claire lives in the small village of Llanfair Clydogau, at the foot of the Cambrian Mountains in Mid-Wales along with her cats, dogs, chickens and occasionally sheep. Her animals and the surrounding countryside and coastline are often the inspiration for her prints.
Though Claire has a mainly IT background, she has been recently exploring her creative side after a period of absence since completing her A level Art. She has completed courses in ceramics, glass bead making, glass fusion and slumping as well as recently exploring printmaking. Claire has recently completed the Certificate in Art and Design at Aberystwyth University.
Her work, at the moment, is mainly created using lino. She also works with drypoint etching and collagraph to create her original prints. As all of her work is hand-printed by Claire, each print, though from the same plate as others, is very slightly different.
Claire has also been experimenting lately with other media (pen and ink, acrylics) and having great fun!
My shop will be closing at the weekend for a couple of weeks due to a house move, after which the sale will finish. :)
